In order to sign up for utility services in Turkey, you will have to acquire compulsory earthquake insurance which is granted by the government. The cost of the earthquake insurance (DASK) is calculated according to the size of the house and it varies from 100 to 200 liras per year. Once you have gained the insurance it will be available for one year and it must be renewed once it expires.

Water Subscription

Water subscriptions are given by the appointed government institutions in local cities. For example, in Antalya, ASAT gives out the water subscriptions and bills must be paid to them.

Please be aware that you will have to pay an initial subscription fee which will be around 650 liras however this can be subject to change according to the inflation rates.

Once the required documents are submitted you will have access to water within the next 2-3 working days.

Electricity Subscription

Electricity has been contracted out to private companies in Turkey.

When you have submitted the required documents and the subscription fee you will have access to electricity in your home within 2 to 3 working days.

Natural Gas Subscription
